3D printing running shoes New Balance will be launched in April this year

In April of this year, the old sportswear brand New Balance is about to start selling a black running shoe made of 3D printing technology in the midsole. The launch site will be located in Boston, the US home of New Balance, and will gradually expand to designated stores worldwide. This shoe was officially announced in November last year, and today we saw its real body at the CES scene.

This new shoe (no definitive model name) was created by the technologies of New Balance, Intel and 3D Systems (a 3D printing technology company).

First, New Balance uses RealSense 3D Real-Sense Scanning technology to scan the wearer's foot in all directions and use the scanned data to design a 3D printed midsole. Next, 3D Systems and NB will use a rubber polymer material, the DuraForm Flex TPU, to print out the midsole of the honeycomb structure. The midsole of this material and structure, combined with the flexibility of movement and the stability of standing, the biggest feature is the ability to significantly reduce the time and labor required to customize a pair of running shoes.

Unfortunately, New Balance only gives the release date for non-customized standard shoe types (starting in April), and has not revealed when it will launch consumer-oriented nitrogen – because it involves the need for a special RealSense real-world scanning device. Get the user's foot data.
